SELECT MIKE!

Hello! My name is Mike Espejo and I am running for the Burlington Select Board. Thank you for checking out my website!

I got involved with town government because of two reasons:

1. I was frustrated with the state of our country. We have never been so divided as a nation. Instead of posting a million meme march on social media or shaking my fist at the clouds, I decided to channel that frustration into something productive. There are no political parties on the town level; We share one party and that is the Burlington party. We all want to preserve, maintain and improve the 01803. 
2. In my mind, there is no better way to make a positive impact on your community than to participate in town government.

Burlington has been my home for over 35 years and there is no place that I’d rather live. Woody Hayes once said, “You win with people.” If that is correct, Burlington should always win because we have some of the finest people around! 

We aren’t going to always agree. However, my promise to you is that I will always keep an open mind, listen to/consider every point of view and that I will always keep Burlington’s very best interests at heart. I humbly and respectfully hope to earn one of your two votes for the Burlington Select Board on April 9th!
